Air Tightness Testing
Building Regulations Parts L1 and L2 require air tightness testing of buildings to be carried out before Completion Certificates are issued. Ensuring low uncontrolled air leakage through the building envelopes is a crucial element of all new-build energy efficiency strategies and is integral to achieving compliance with planning and Building Regulations energy and carbon targets.
We understand the need for a seamless process at this critical stage of the development process, and ensure excellent communication between our energy assessors and site testing teams. This means no time is wasted in acquiring results and final sign-off from Building Control. If requested, air tightness and EPC certificates can be issued on the same day as the site test.
Through our UKAS-accredited and BINDT registered members of the Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association (ATTMA), we can carry out air leakage testing of all commercial and domestic building types.
