Water Use
Reducing water use is crucial not only to preserve supplies for a rapidly growing population, but also to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the abstraction of water can have devastating implications on biodiversity and conservation efforts.
With our knowledge and understanding of water conservation, we are able to provide pragmatic advice on how to reduce water consumption – both through the adoption of cost-effective technologies and sanitaryware specification, and through the preparation of educational material – often included as part of the Home User Guide.
We are also experienced in preparing water consumption reports for planning applications and assisting with Part G water calculations for both new and existing buildings.
Development proposals within areas that would lead to an increase in water demand are now often required to demonstrate and robustly evidence ‘water neutrality’. We can assist in preparing a water neutrality statement which confirms the water efficiency, water recycling and offsetting measures to be implemented on the proposed development.
