In May 2017, one of our Senior Specialists, Olga Tsagkalidou, presented at the Architectural Association’s Sustainable Environmental Design Roundtable along with other leading international London firms – Foster + Partners, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, Architype and HENN Berlin.
The aim of the Roundtable was to share with pioneering academics the Practice, Research & Prospects for sustainable contemporary building design and construction.
In our case, Olga focused on our integrated consultancy approach for large-scale residential-led mixed-use developments in London, highlighting how the regional and local planning framework can be translated into cost-effective and quality led sustainable design.
In particular, the way in which building performance modelling can facilitate design solutions that optimise several competing parameters such as acoustics, overheating & daylighting.
We would like to thank the Architectural Association SED’s director Simos Yannas for organising the event and the opportunity it gave us to share cutting-edge thinking.
As a company, we are committed to continuing professional development and are keen to be involved with leading academic research that we can use for further developing our high value services for the future.
