Jacob joined Hodkinson Consultancy in 2024 as a Graduate Energy Consultant, following the completion of his Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy and Environment from Cardiff University. His academic research focused on designing and simulating a hybrid solar micro-gas turbine for off-grid populations, accompanied by a detailed techno-economic analysis of the system.

With expertise in operational energy reduction, whole life cycle carbon, and heat transfer within the built environment, Jacob is well-equipped to optimise the energy efficiency and fabric performance of new developments. At Hodkinson, his role involves conducting SAP assessments for domestic properties, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regional planning policies.

As an associate member of the Energy Institute, Jacob is dedicated to professional growth and aspires to achieve chartered status, further strengthening his contributions to sustainable energy solutions in the built environment.
