We are delighted to have supported Meadow Residential to achieve planning consent for the redevelopment of the Hathaway House mixed-use scheme. The scheme, designed by Stiff + Trevillion, is located along the Grand Union Canal in the London Borough of Westminster.
The development will provide 74 new dwellings (19 of which are affordable), as well as office and healthcare spaces at ground floor level and a three storey office block located on the southern edge of the site.
Working closely with the client and architectural team, we provided an integrated energy and environmental planning consultancy. A high performance building fabric and energy efficiency measures have been specified to reduce CO2 emissions over Part L 2013 requirements. Strategically positioned PV arrays have also been integrated within the design proposal. A dynamic overheating assessment has been undertaken, proposing passive design measures, in order to ensure that thermal comfort conditions will be achieved for the residents during summer months. A sustainability strategy has been proposed, covering water efficiency, recycling, sustainable transport, inclusive design, cycle storage, ecology and consideration of responsibly sourced materials.
We look forward to further working with our client and the design team in the future.
