Project Success for Brunswick Hill

Hodkinsons were appointed to undertake a BREEAM Assessment for the recent refurbishment of an Edwardian villa building into 9 apartments. Brunswick Hill House is a bespoke development located in central Reading.

We worked with EB Solutions to create a ‘Very Good’ rated BREEAM strategy that promoted a low cost and sustainable refurbishment. The apartments all performed well in terms of Energy Performance and Health and Wellbeing.

We worked with the client to select products that created a healthy internal environment, assessing the VOC content of all internal finishes and fixtures. Acoustic testing was also undertaken to verify the design of greater sound insulation values beyond the requirements of Approved Document Part E.

We also produced a comprehensive Home User Guide for the tenants which enables them to optimally operate their home in line with the design.
