Homeowners are becoming increasingly aware of build quality issues within their new homes. In a number of instances, occupiers have had a thermal imaging survey undertaken to demonstrate areas of poorly fitted insulation within the property.
To combat these issues, we recommend undertaking sample thermal imaging surveys on a selection of plots across a site to ensure continuity of insulation prior to handover and occupation. This will allow any remediation work to be undertaken before the new homeowners move in. Surveys can be used to demonstrate build quality and improve customer confidence.
We are able to provide robust thermal imaging surveys and reports which adhere to industry standards and aim to reduce the Performance Gap. We also provide advice on improvements to be made and how mistakes can be avoided in the future. This feedback process is vital to improving build quality on a large scale, and is the focus of all our Building Performance Evaluation work.
